The banknote features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse side, along with the ECCB (Eastern Caribbean Central Bank) building, a green seaturtle, a green-throated Carib (a type of hummingbird called Eulampis jugularis), and fishes. The script on the obverse is in Latin and includes the name "EASTERN CARIBBEAN CENTRAL BANK." It states that the notes are legal tender for the payment of any amount and denotes the denomination as "FIVE DOLLARS."
On the reverse side, there is an image of Admiral's House in Antigua & Barbuda, a map of the Eastern Caribbean islands, Trafalgar Falls in Dominica, and more fishes. The Latin script on the reverse includes the denomination "FIVE" and "$5," followed by "EASTERN CARIBBEAN DOLLARS" and "CENTRAL BANK."
